In the spring of 2016 7th grade students at the Windward School in Los Angeles explored the Big Idea of non-infectious diseases and were challenged to measurably and sustainably advance, engineer, or positively impact the lives of those affected with non-infectious diseases in your community.
Elijah, Eli, and Jacob decided to explore the auto-immune disease Lupus and after a thorough investigation developed kits for people recently diagnosed with the disease. They secured funding, had the kits made and donated them to Lupus LA.
