Making the learning process visible throughout the CBL experience helps to develop collaboration and innovation. Faculty members a Senac University in São Paulo Brasil developed a resource for the learners to use during the Act and Investigate phases to allow everyone to see each group’s progress and participate. The CBL canvas is printed using a large format printer and made posted on the wall near each team. Using post-it notes the students add information as they move through the steps. By making the process visible, they found that the s collaborated students collaborated across groups resulting in deeper learning.
Another group of iOS Academy faculty from the University of Frederico II in Naples, Italy expanded the canvas to reflect the importance of the synthesis stage of the process. As you use it and make adaptions, please share your ideas.
